Ms. Murdock is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. The last 12 years, she has worked with clients experiencing mental health crises including suicidal clients. She has worked primarily with adults but has experience with children and with Systems Family Therapy. In addition, she has worked with Geriatric clients and end of life issues. She favors a practical approach to psychotherapy, with cognitive-behavioral techniques and a compassionate, client-centered session. She believes in identifying and building on client’s strengths and resources, challenging clients to see beyond negative self-images and to incorporate new positive thought patterns lead to better fit for clients in their environments and help to alleviate depressive symptoms and increase confidence and self-esteem.
